Will it fit my helmet?

Yes — HY-1001 mounts to full-face, modular and open-face helmets with the included clamp or velcro mount.

How far does the intercom reach?

Two riders can talk full-duplex up to 800m apart in open terrain — ideal for rider-passenger or a pair of bikes.

What's the battery life?

Around 18 hours of phone calls or music and 15 hours of intercom, with 300 hours standby. Type-C full charge takes about 2 hours.

Is it water resistant?

HY-1001 is rated IP65 — sealed against dust and water jets, so rain is no problem.

Can it connect to two phones?

Yes — it holds a connection to two Bluetooth devices at once, e.g. your phone and a GPS.

How long does it take to charge?

About two hours from low to full over USB Type-C. Rated operating temperature is -4F to 122F (-20C to 50C).

What happens if a call comes in while I am listening to music?

Calls take priority, then intercom, then music and FM radio. The headset returns to what it was doing once the call ends.

Can it talk to other brands of intercom?

Yes. HY-1001 links to other-brand Bluetooth intercoms as well as to a second HY-1001. Either way it is a two-headset connection — HY-1001 is a pair intercom, so two riders is the maximum in any configuration.

Can we still hear each other at highway speed?

Voice communication is validated up to 120 km/h (about 75 mph), with CVC noise cancelling and DSP processing working against wind and engine noise.

Can two riders share music?

Yes — music sharing links two HY-1001 units so both riders hear the same track, played through 40 mm Hi-Fi drivers.
